Waste Plant Operator - Side Loader

Merri-Bek City Council 

• Attractive working hours (5:00 AM - 1:06 PM)
• Weekend work and Overtime available
• Continuous in-house and professional training provided

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Operation of Side Loader Waste Truck
• Delivering, emptying and collection of waste and recycling at Citywide Client site 
• Carry out all daily vehicle checks
• Wash vehicle on a daily basis
• Manually cleaning any spillages
• Carry out runs as per assigned run sheets
• Fill out paperwork such as run header sheets, run sheets and tip dockets on a daily basis
• Manage and tip loads at designated Landfills/Transfer Station

Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes required:

• Current Victorian Heavy Rigid truck licence
• Customer Service Experience
• Pro-Active
• Problem Solving Skills
• Time Management
• Committed and Flexible
• Knowledge of OH&S
