Storm Water Harvesting Specialist
Citywide is recruiting for a Storm Water Harvesting Specialist to work within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne’s CBD. In this role, you will be responsible for safely capturing, storing and treating harvested storm water for use in the open space contact.

- Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2.36pm
- Competitive hourly rate and use of vehicle
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Deliver on all storm water harvesting activities and requirements
- Ensure all water quality monitoring and testing is carried out and reviewed on time and in line with the Contract, and that any recommendations are implemented
- Ensure calibrated equipment is within test date and current.
- Ensure chemicals are stored, transported, handled and used in accordance safety requirements
- Audit, manage, maintain and improve water assets
- Analyse a range of data to identify trends and inform works programs and reporting
- Prepare, implement and regularly adjust a range programs and schedules to deliver contract outcomes such as water quality and equipment servicing e.g. pumps
- Maintain records of all works performed, water quality results, water treatments, chemical use, meter readings, volumes etc.
- Record harvesting and distribution volumes
- Provide reports on water management works undertaken, asset condition and other activities
- Maintain all related equipment associated with storm water harvesting & storage
- Undertake fault finding and investigations and provide solutions to resolve a range of water issues
- Attend meetings as required with clients, events, contactors, capital and third party works
- Supervise subcontractors to safely deliver works
- Assist the Water Supervisor and Capital Works Manager to scope, quote and deliver works as required
- Be available for on-call roster and provide support to other team members when on-call
- Other duties as required within the scope of the role.
Skills and experience required:
- AQF Level 4 in water related field
- Experience and knowledge in maintaining storm water harvest systems, bio filters, pumps, chemical dosing and UV sterilisation equipment and storage tanks
- Team orientated and highly motivated, however must also be able to work autonomously
- Take a structured approach to service delivery with strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Chem Cert
- Confined Space
- First Aid Certificate
- Working With Children Check
