Arborist

Citywide is recruiting for experienced Arborists to join the team based at our Parkes Depot.

• Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.30pm
• Friday - 6.30am to 12.30pm

About the Role

In this role you will be delivering the full scope of tree maintenance services from tree selection and planting to delivering scheduled maintenance and reactive requests. This will include pruning, tree removal, travel tower work (EWP), electrical line clearance, chipper operation and stump removal.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Prune trees from the ground and around powerlines using EWP
• Removal of trees, tree climbing and stump grinding (where required)
• Drive and maintain heavy equipment (trailer mounted machine, light trucks, tip-truck)
• Assist in instructing and guiding apprentices, tradespeople and labourers
• Use of chemicals in a safe manner
• Correct set up of traffic management requirements
• Updating and maintaining all records using Citywide/Client systems

Required Skills:

• Certificate III in Arboriculture
• Current MR licence (Desirable)
• Chainsaw Licence
• EWP Certificate (Desirable)
• Certificate II ESI (Desirable)
• Traffic Management
• First Aid Certificate
• Ability to work safely & promote safety in the workplace
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Experience dealing with customers, clients and members of the general public
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
