Citywide are recruiting for Tree Root Maintenance Team Members to join our crew working out of the Port Melbourne depot. In this role you will be dealing with tree root issues affecting infrastructure and buildings. This role would suit anyone with a Horticulture, Arboriculture or Civil background looking for a new challenge.

• Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.36pm
• Port Melbourne depot location

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Cut sealed surfaces with demo saw – removal and disposal
• Operation of Air spade excavation tool
• Manual, hydro and mechanical excavation of trenches
• Safe operation of demo saw and chainsaw
• Perform open space maintenance works as required including tree planting, watering, minor concrete and asphalt works
• Capture images of all works, pre, during and post job
• Assist in instructing and guiding apprentices, tradespeople and labourers
• Drive and maintain equipment (trailer mounted machine, light trucks, tip-truck, excavator, Bobcat)

Preferred certificates and licences:

• Cert III in Horticulture, Arboriculture or Landscaping
• Current Drivers licence
• MR/HR licence
• Chainsaw certification
• Spotters certification
• Bobcat licence
• Excavator licence
• Hydro/NDD experience
