Citywide deliver the full scope of tree maintenance services from tree selection and planting to delivering scheduled maintenance and reactive requests. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Arborist to lead a small team, undertaking works such as pruning, tree removal, travel tower work (EWP), electrical line clearance, chipper operation and stump removal.
As the Team Leader you will be actively involved in day-to-day tree maintenance works, as well as directing and managing operational activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in the completion of work with teams in the field (>75%)
- Accurately report daily performance
- Coordinate all operational and day to day activities
- Liaise with customers on a daily basis
- Order stock and materials
- Observe and report on broader issues that may impact on service delivery
- Demonstrate initiative and/continuous improvement (eg. LEAN)
- Support a high performance team culture through effective leadership, coaching and performance feedback
- Undertake and record daily worksite/workplace assessments (Onsite audit checklist, HAC sheets, Quality of works, OH&S compliance, equipment audits, Fleet monitoring etc.
- Ensure maintenance of fleet, log books and vehicle inspections
- Identify and resolve work problems on site
- Ensure duties are carried out taking into account safety of employees, contractors and the public
- Conduct staff reviews and prepare reports where required
- Report staff performance issues to supervisor
Skills and qualifications required:
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Cert III in Arboriculture
- Victorian MR licence
- Chainsaw Ticket
- EVP Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Traffic Management
- Cert II ESI
- Police Check
- Working with Children Card
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience
- Cert IV In Arboriculture or greater
- Computer literate with MS Office suite
- White Card
- Chemical Certificate
