Sports Turf Groundskeeper

Citywide is recruiting for a Sports Turf Groundskeeper for our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne’s CBD. This role operates out of our well-resourced Fawkner Park depot which services a multitude of community sports such as cricket, soccer, AFL, soccer and touch rugby. The successful candidate will have experience using a tractor with attachments, maintaining turf cricket wickets, and a passion for giving back to the community.

• Central location on St Kilda Rd near the CBD
• Monday to Friday 7am to 3.06pm

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Tractor operations including grounds mowing
• Turf cricket wicket maintenance including rolling
• Line-marking
• Turf renovations
• General sports ground and parks maintenance

Skills and experience required:

• Previous relevant experience in similar role
• Knowledge of herbicide application techniques (Desirable)
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance (Desirable)
• Current Victorian drivers licence
• Excellent work ethic
• Team player
• Motivated
• Good communication skills
• Focus on safety of self and others
• Working With Children Card
