Waste Scheduler
Citywide have an exciting opportunity for a Waste Scheduler to join our prestigious City of Melbourne Waste contract.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will be key within operations as you’ll be responsible for the scheduling of collections and disposals, as well as system reporting, resolution and route optimisation.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Incorporate scheduled and unscheduled services into Waste systems, new services and changes to services.
- Arrange new service risk assessments
- Schedule and track waste vehicles
- Allocate daily routes and tasks to drivers
- Utilise management systems including Wastedge, MT data and Asset Master to plan schedules and reporting
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders with regards to scheduling updates and impacts to service
- Work with operations to ensure efficiency gains and KPIs are achieved
- Maintain relationships with operations team, Council, drivers, fillers etc.
- Support the planning and scheduling of bin lift audits
- Develop metrics & KPIs in conjunction with management
- Train team in Wastedge application and the use of tablets etc.
- Track fleet, permits and scheduled maintenance
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience in systems and operations administration
- Ability to learn and develop databases and systems
- Experience in rostering/routing system preferred
- Ability to maintain and develop KPI performance
- Experience in the support and integration of new software
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment
- Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
