We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join the Citywide team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Finance Manager, you will be fulfilling corporate accounting requirements including the completion of month-end and statutory responsibilities. You will also be monitoring business performance and assisting in the driving of continuous improvement of processes, systems and reporting access across the Finance function.
Primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Provide timely, reliable & accurate financial information
- Preparation of the consolidated Group’s monthly financial performance through management reports, including cash flow and balance sheet analysis (including variance analysis);
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of the consolidated Group’s monthly financial performance
- Preparation of monthly tax obligations including GST, BAS and Payroll Tax and Annual Workcover return
- Provide variance analysis and commentary for the Corporate division including monthly meetings with Corporate managers;
- Update and preparation of CFO and Executive reports including Monthly and Quarterly Board and Shareholder reports
- Prepare Citywide’s Statutory Accounts ensuring they are in line with relevant disclosure requirements;
- Prepare Citywide’s Statutory Accounts ensuring they are in line with relevant disclosure requirements;
- Maintain and update the Statutory Accounts reporting tool;
- Prepare and maintain schedules and support for Citywide's Statutory Accounts;
- Assist with the annual external audit process;
- Assist with the annual tax reconciliation;
- Support the Corporate Finance Manager in the implementation of any finance related internal audit outcomes;
- Assisting with project work and ad-hoc reporting as required
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Accounting Degree with a at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Fully qualified CPA or CA
- Proficient in MS Office and able to pick up new ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business
- Strong work ethic with the drive to succeed and contribute to the business
