Mowing Crew Leader

Citywide is recruiting for a Mowing Crew Leader to lead a small team within our prestigious open space contract in Melbourne’s CBD, maintaining some of the City’s most iconic parks, gardens and reserves.

• Fitzroy Gardens Depot/Shrine of Remembrance Depot
• Monday to Friday 7am to 3.06pm

Responsibilities of the roles include but are not limited to:

• Mowing and maintaining lawns to the highest standard using push mowers, ride-on mowers, line trimmers, lawn edgers and leaf blowers.
• Lawn renovations including top-dressing, oversewing, broadleaf herbicide spraying and fertilising.
• Using software to follow a schedule and sign-off completed works.
• Leading and training a small team.
• Maintaining good relationships with the client and all stakeholders.
• Supporting a good team culture.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous relevant experience in a horticulture or turf maintenance role
• Cert 3 in Horticulture or equivalent (Desirable)
• MR Licence (Desirable)
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence
• Knowledge of herbicide application techniques (Desirable)
• Traffic Management experience (Desirable)
• First Aid (Desirable)
• Cert 3 Chemical User
• Disease and Pest Control Identification Certificate (Desirable)
• Working With Children Card
• Excellent work ethic
• Team player
• Motivated
• Good communication skills
• Focus on safety of self and others
